How is the 60-day absence period calculated?

Modified on Wed, 16 Apr at 2:38 AM

The 60-day absence must be a single, continuous, unbroken period. It is calculated from the first day of absence until the next day the Member attends the House. Days when the House does not sit are counted, but periods of prorogation or adjournment exceeding four days are excluded.
