What is the usual practice in Rajya Sabha when a national tragedy occurs?

In the event of a national tragedy, such as a natural disaster or major accident, the Chairman of Rajya Sabha makes a reference on behalf of the House to express sympathy and condolences. The House may also observe a moment of silence, with all Members standing in respect for the victims.
