Modified on Mon, 26 May at 2:44 AM

The Budget, also called the Annual Financial Statement (Article 112), is a statement of estimated receipts and expenditures of the Government of India for a financial year. It comprises two parts: the Railway Budget and the General Budget. It is presented on dates decided by the President, typically in February, and laid before both Houses of Parliament.
