Members can travel in any class and any number of times by railway. They are not involved in the billing process. Instead:
Indian Railways sends a bill directly to RSS (Rajya Sabha Secretariat).
RSS officials verify the journey details based on the PNR provided.
After verification and a funds availability check, a file is created and submitted to the Controlling Officer for sanction and pay order signature.
The file is then forwarded to P&AO for payment settlement.
