Is leave of absence necessary for members whose resignations are under consideration?

Modified on Thu, 17 Apr at 1:19 AM

No. In instances where members have submitted their resignations and they are pending consideration by the Chairman, the House may not issue reminders regarding prolonged absence (e.g., beyond 40 days). Since their status is pending, such members are not necessarily required to apply for leave of absence.
