What pension and facilities are provided to the spouse of the Speaker of the Lok Sabha who dies while in office?

As per the 2002 Rules, if the Speaker of the Lok Sabha dies while holding office, the spouse is entitled to:

• Family pension, issued by the Lok Sabha Secretariat
• Rent-free accommodation anywhere in India for life (electricity and water bills are to be paid by the spouse)
• Free medical attendance and treatment for themselves and any minor children
• Reimbursement of travel expenses for treatment or for attending medical practitioners
