Modified on Tue, 8 Apr at 4:34 AM

According to the 1993 Medical Facilities Rules, an Officer of Parliament (Chairman/Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha or Speaker/Deputy Speaker of Lok Sabha) and their family are entitled to:

  • Free medical attendance and treatment

  • On the same terms as those available to All India Services officers
  • While posted within India or abroad (when on duty outside India, they receive medical care similar to Heads of Indian Missions).
